Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Self-explanatory, I hope. These both refer to the same jQuery UI plugin. They've got about an equal number of questions (nearly 1k each), but clearly having them split up like this is counterproductive.

My vote would go to making the canonical tag, since it is more inline with the 'jquery-ui-' naming scheme of other jQuery UI components.

(I still find it terribly queer that I can't just suggest these sorts of things once I hit 20k rep...I can edit the tag wikis to my heart's content but I can't suggest a simple synonym?)

Yeh, it's wierd not being able to make tag synonym suggestions. – Lance Roberts Mar 11 '13 at 6:27
Why hasn't this been done? – j08691 Jan 14 '14 at 18:39
