Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I just came across the tag on SO. I don't think this tag belongs to SO, as all these questions are off-topic and should get asked on Patents.

While these may all be good for Patents, I'm not sure they're off-topic for Stack Overflow. – Lance Roberts Mar 18 '13 at 22:29
Just the opposite. I doubt any of them would be good for Patents, and they're definitely off-topic on Stack Overflow. – Bill the Lizard Mar 19 '13 at 0:48
