Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Why if I have answered a captcha two or three times does the system continue to tell me that it is probable that I am a robot when I modify an answer?

I agree the captcha is a PITA, but the only answer you will get is that it will never be removed.

Your account could be compromised at any time after all.

I don't think of the captcha as a PITA. I think of spam as a PITA. – belgariontheking Aug 25 '09 at 23:19

@btk: You also don't edit 20-30 posts in 5 minutes. – GEOCHET Aug 25 '09 at 23:27
