Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

30 minutes ago, was removed from this question. Related still contains What anti-patterns exist for JavaScript? though. I've also conducted a test in the Sandbox, which showed the same problem.

According to Jeff Dec '10, the related questions list is rebuilt when one of the posts is edited, or if a new answer is added. Both criteria are met by the specific question, so I'm wondering why the related question list is still not updated.

The list is not updated right away. If memory serves, building it is computationally expensive, so we do it periodically rather than all the time. I want to say "daily", but don't quote me on that just yet. – Adam Apr 10 '13 at 14:21
