Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I cant seem to be able to comment or click random links in Stack Overflow as well as this site. I think its an IT problem here at work, but I need to point them in a better direction than "I can't click a link".

If I look at the Console in Chrome I see this error

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected string full.js:166

This same problem is happeing in IE, Chrome, and Firefox.

Anyone have anyideas.

I have posted questions on StackOverflow but can't respond.

This has worked in the past, and I just have noticed it a few days ago.

Sounds like your company firewall munges the site javascript, introducing syntax errors. Without the javascript, many site functions won't work. – Martijn Pieters Apr 10 '13 at 19:30
What happens if you connect to SO using https instead of http? It's possible that will get around the firewall's tampering. – Richard J. Ross III Apr 10 '13 at 20:03
Hmm, this is weird. I can comment here but not on SO. The HTTPS didn't work either. – dvreed77 Apr 10 '13 at 23:30
I'm also running into this issue. I'm fairly sure it's not the company firewall since a) I can comment here and b) I could comment on SO yesterday. Did you resolve this problem? – ckersch Apr 25 '13 at 15:35
