Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I just noticed today that my age was wrong, so I checked my profile. The birth year was 1974, when I was in fact born in 1975.

I'm willing to believe I entered the wrong year, but it's not a mistake I make a lot, so I wanted to ask if something nefarious happened... like a software bug or something.

Use the "contact us" form in the footer to send Stack Exchange a copy of your birth certificate, and I'm sure this will be resolved in a couple of days. – Yannis Apr 11 '13 at 21:57
@Yannis Why? You can change it yourself. – Undo Apr 12 '13 at 1:53
I'm joking @ErwaySoftware ;) – Yannis Apr 12 '13 at 2:22
@Yannis I kind of thought you were. But I wanted to spare the SE team from receiving 3,591 birth certificates in the mail. – Undo Apr 12 '13 at 3:54
@Yannis Tsk. Resolved in 6 to 8 weeks, you mean. – J. Steen Apr 12 '13 at 5:55
<tongue-in-cheek>Were you born in 1974 UTC but 1975 local time? – AakashM Apr 12 '13 at 8:06
