What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 131 Stack Exchange communities.

I've been using this account on Stack Overflow for over a year: user1192927, but I cannot login to it anymore. When I enter the original email I used a year ago, it doesn't recognize it. It also doesn't recognize it when I try to recover it. When I enter my new email, it logs me in to this account, which I temporarily created so I can ask this question. Any ideas? Thanks.

could you have used one of the many external login methods? (I don't know if that translates into SO not "knowing" your email.. I think such option exists - you can chose which email is "passed" to SO upon initial login) –  G. Stoynev Apr 12 '13 at 16:36
