Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

, and should be synonyms. It's not helpful to have separate tags for various versions of the same app when there's so little difference between versions. It's also not clear whether the first tag means 'all versions' or 'version 1'

IMO sublimetext should refer to both 1 and 2, since everybody uses 2 and sublimetext3 should remain distinct – jamylak Apr 29 '13 at 4:21
Insert slippery slope wrt version-specific tags here, including but not limited to breaking out the old example of php5 (current version, aliased to php currently) vs php4 (old version) vs php and what happens when the next version is released. – Charles Apr 30 '13 at 1:33
