Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

In stackoverflow if we go to users tab the reputation is different than when we go the users profile.

It looks that the profile shows the correct reputation.

Do you mean the roundings? – Bartek Banachewicz Apr 29 '13 at 22:03
Are you on the "All" tab or "Month" (which is the default)? – mmyers Apr 29 '13 at 22:04
I am in default For example I clicked users tab - first name came up Jon Skeet with reputation 1033 but when I am viewing profile it is showing 559,370. – Biswajit Maji Apr 29 '13 at 22:08
Seems that down voters here are having problems dealing with the truth. Just like a lot of other meta down voters elsewhere, it's just that it's really obvious here. – Chris Gerken Apr 30 '13 at 1:26

You're probably looking at the reputation accumulated this week:

Screenshot of the users page tabs

The page used to show all reputation by default, but it was a bit boring always seeing the same people, so when the page was redesigned the tabs were added to show reputation accrued over different spans of time. Click the "all" link to show total reputation
