I uploaded an image to my profile using the url option. I want to use this image as my avatar, but it doesn't display as my avatar in chat. It almost seems like chat tries to pull an image from gravatar(which I do not use) and my user profile uses the uploaded image.

Is this a bug? Is there a way around this?

about 25 minutes ago @Lucifer –  Inhale.Py May 31 '13 at 12:20
Ahh... then wait it will take time for chat, You can not get instant updation for chat, Even when your reputation gets change it doesnt reflect that instantly in chat window. –  Lucifer May 31 '13 at 12:22
@Lucifer I thought that to, but according to some people on chat it changed instantly for them. Could that be because they used gravatar? –  Inhale.Py May 31 '13 at 12:26
Well not sure about that then. –  Lucifer May 31 '13 at 12:28
I'd say give it an hour. –  hjpotter92 May 31 '13 at 12:31
Yeah, I'll give it an hour than come back to it. –  Inhale.Py May 31 '13 at 12:36

Any updation is shown instantly in profile like upvote, downvote, uploading profile pic etc. But same change for chat take times ( approx an hour ). Its been more than an hour is passed and now we can see your profile photo in chat as well
