Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

If I vote to close a question, then review close votes, I sometimes see that same question again. So it seems I get to approve my own close votes. I find it hard to believe that is by design. Is it a bug?

When you say you "mark a question for closure", do you mean you vote to close it? And when you write "review close votes" you're talking about /review/close? Because then, yes - that's a bug. If you mean something else, please clarify. – Shog9 Jun 21 '13 at 21:56
I refrained from using my double strength close votes. Do I get a biscuit? – Raedwald Jun 21 '13 at 23:29
Does clicking the close button actually do anything? – Undo Jun 22 '13 at 2:46
What if you click "Leave Open"? Does it undo your close vote? – Alvin Wong Jun 22 '13 at 5:12
I've not tried voting to leave open. – Raedwald Jun 22 '13 at 8:53
