Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I think making a synonym of is the more sensible way to have it go, in spite of the latter name being less frequently used, but it doesn't really matter which way it is.

Current usage is 731 and 240 questions.

Unless we're going to repurpose to speak of corn crops, crop circles, turkey crops or bacon, one of them should go.

was going to suggest synonym but I don't have enough score in [crop] or [cropping] – Old Checkmark Jul 3 '13 at 9:12
