Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

One user just asked how they can request migration for a question, but they did not find an answer, even when they searched the Help Center. So, it's really nice to see that people are using it, but I think this essential part of a question's lifecycle is still missing.

The page about closed questions does not even mention the concept of migration in passing, although a sentence would probably already suffice.

Ideally, there would be a separate article dedicated to this, maybe something like "What are migrated questions?"

Now I'm really curious, since this was downvoted—why would a help center page be not be a good idea? – slhck Jul 9 '13 at 10:12
People hate migrations or don't want to make that option visible? Not sure. – Jon Ericson Jul 9 '13 at 22:38
Weird, why would anyone downvote this? – Karan Jul 10 '13 at 1:02
