Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question

I'm kind of confused. I went to the edit field to test this and, sure enough, there were four spaces. So I deleted the spaces and added four more...now it works. – ಠ_ಠ Aug 7 '13 at 16:58

That is odd @ಠ_ಠ – amanaP lanaC A nalP A naM A Aug 7 '13 at 16:58

@ಠ_ಠ - Your changes break the example, that's probably why. – Oded Aug 7 '13 at 17:04

Your first spaces were , AKA No Break Space - these are not your regular spaces (ASCII 32).

Changing to normal spaces makes it work alright.

So, with the spaces being char 160:

    1375202508 this is the second line

And without:

1375202508
this is the second line
