Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Will i lose any data in stackoverflow if i say okay to "migrate user" option in becoming active on server fault? It is happening because I am using the same openid and its smart enough to recognize that.

This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers.

Yes, it's because it's the same OpenID and no, you won't lose data but remember Reputation does not move across with you by design.

Discuss these issues here:

No, you won't lose any data. The two sites are independent in terms of reputation, questions, answers, etc. Migrating means you'll start with 101 reputation (if your current reputation is high enough) instead of 1.
