Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

The Theory of Moderation blog post has some outdated information:

Im pretty sure it is still a suggested edit at 500 reputation. (I tried it C++ templates with derived classes)

The privileges screen doesn't have it either, please update the blog post as well.

There used to be such privilege, it was removed six months ago. I suspect many blog posts are outdated, both text and screenshots, won't harm to update them to prevent confusing people. – Shadow Wizard Nov 7 '13 at 9:23
I think it's quite reasonable for old blog posts to be outdated, provided they are not regularly referenced as containing definitive information. Do any official SE pages link to this blog post? – Duncan Nov 7 '13 at 9:26
@Duncan yes: the you on the right is the reference – TsSkTo Nov 7 '13 at 9:36
This is an exact duplicate question of this deleted one, where @Duncan said that people will forgive it since it is out of date. Also any moderator's page links to that blog. – hims056 Nov 7 '13 at 9:39
@hims056 Ah, well I would retract my statement now that I know it's directly referenced as gospel by SE pages. – Duncan Nov 7 '13 at 9:47
@hims056 too bad you asked to disassociate the question from your account, otherwise we could undelete and revive it! :) – Shadow Wizard Nov 7 '13 at 10:04
@Duncan That particular blog post is also referenced on every election page. See, for example: (the link under "accorded the highest level of privilege on our community") – Yannis Nov 7 '13 at 14:04
