Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

After having lost out on the for their homework questions, students have found another tag for themselves. The tag. Currently, there are no questions tagged to it(luckily), so can we just go ahead and burninate it? I really doubt if we require such a tag.

But that's if there are no more questions tagged right?! What if by then, some other questions are tagged with it? – R.J Nov 11 '13 at 4:16
Screw it, set fire to .*homework.* tags everywhere. – Makoto Nov 11 '13 at 4:16
@Makoto - Is that really possible?! I mean the devs here can do anything, but doing such a thing will be great. – R.J Nov 11 '13 at 4:17
I don't know. Although if we start seeing questions tagged with some variant of homework therein, they may build regex support in their blacklist capabilities yet. – Makoto Nov 11 '13 at 4:18
Wow... homework2? Really? – Andrew Barber Nov 11 '13 at 4:18
@AndrewBarber - Sadly, but yes. Somehow, they keep finding some ways to get the homework thing into the system. :( – R.J Nov 11 '13 at 4:19
There aren't any tags containing homework in them apart from that one. – Qantas 94 Heavy Nov 11 '13 at 4:22
next thing we know there will be a working-at-home tag or a schoolwork tags – aug Nov 11 '13 at 4:24
Homework 2.0 is obviously a newer, more advanced version of Homework. School must be getting really hard. – animuson Nov 11 '13 at 4:25
I have removed this tag from two questions today already. – Carl Veazey Nov 11 '13 at 4:25
coming soon: homeworklol – doppelgreener Nov 11 '13 at 6:25
The question is - who created this tag and should we revoke a few privileges of said user? – Dukeling Nov 11 '13 at 8:52
@Dukeling: What baffles me is that it must've been a user with at least 1500 rep. Perhaps the 1-rep users have a leader? – Jamal Nov 11 '13 at 9:35
Wait for h0m3w0rk tag... – Danubian Sailor Dec 24 '13 at 10:36
