Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I'd like to add a bounty to my question, but I can't find out how to add the bounty. I looked on my account page, on the page of the question itself and in the edit view..

I have a reputation of 84 which should suffice.

Thanks to whomever boosted my rep so I can add a bounty :D – user135649 Sep 10 '09 at 9:36

You need at least 75 rep before you can slice off your ear and offer it up to someone as part of a bounty.

Questions must also be at least 2 days old, as mentioned in this blog post

Thanks! This is what I wanted to know. Couldn't find it in the faq. – user135649 Sep 10 '09 at 9:23
Tonight's search viewing was made possible by: bounty "at least" – random Sep 10 '09 at 9:27
random, you have upvoted him on SO, don't you? – Ladybug Killer Sep 10 '09 at 10:53
Nope. The only related upvote around this whole thing so far has been for a donkey. – random Sep 10 '09 at 10:59
And I thought you upvoted my post before my edit. I always err with humans... – Ladybug Killer Sep 10 '09 at 11:07

@random: Don't mess up my art! – Ladybug Killer Sep 10 '09 at 8:54 no bounty pony for me :( is the question too fresh or is it my rep? – user135649 Sep 10 '09 at 9:00
Didn't see your edit before putting in those lame brick screenshots. Was caught on the edit screen too long. – random Sep 10 '09 at 9:05
the upvoting of this answer doesn't really help as the add bounty is clearly absent on my end as can be seen on the screenshot.. – user135649 Sep 10 '09 at 9:13
The upvoting is clearly for the animals. Not sure about the bloke trying to blow things up. Like blowing up your rep? What-what! – random Sep 10 '09 at 9:28
Much better, random, much better :) @Wouter: there is a waiting period before you can call a bounty. Have to look up how long it is... – Ladybug Killer Sep 10 '09 at 10:50
Voted up for the answer first, could not upvote any harder for the donkey. – random Sep 10 '09 at 11:10
