Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

In the "You've earned" messages "Enthusiast" has not been renamed to "woot!". Is this a bug?

In a Stack Overflow blog entry, "Enthusiast and Fanatic Badges", the renaming was announced: "For the period of sponsorship, we’ve renamed this the woot! badge. (It’ll revert to Enthusiast once that period is over.)"

Here is a similiar question - but I report it as a bug.

Not really a bug. It's still the Enthusiast badge. It's just that the image of the badge itself has been sponsored by the woot!

They may have the face, but they haven't got the bones.

If not a bug I still find it confusing. – Peter Mortensen Sep 15 '09 at 10:03
That it can be. – random Sep 15 '09 at 10:12
Anything that confuses a user is a bug. Either in the UI or in the user. – balpha Sep 15 '09 at 10:57
Just earned this badge myself recently. Took a few minutes of wondering where the badge was, until I noticed I was WOOTed... – Wim ten Brink Sep 15 '09 at 11:31

Sponsorship period runs through Dec 31st 2009
