Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Possible Duplicates:
Padding a comment with spaces.
Do away with minimum char limits on comments.

Suppose I put in the comment box, '+1' then 13 spaces. I now can add the comment(presuming other conditions permitting). It shows up as +1, with the trailing whitespace stripped.

Duplicate of meta.stackexchange.com/questions/17183/… which is itself a duplicate of others. – Greg Hewgill Sep 21 '09 at 20:17

Also, meta.stackexchange.com/questions/700/… is "status-declined". – Greg Hewgill Sep 21 '09 at 20:19

Strictly speaking, those were requests for the limit's removal. – Paul Nathan Sep 21 '09 at 20:52

I got sick of the umpteen bajillion "bugs" opened on this, so we "fixed the bug".

Enjoy.
