Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

It's getting a bit old. And it creates a ton of questions like "what's the enthusiast badge" and "why is the woot badge also called enthusiast".

The day before people start asking where their woot! badges went and what's the deal with this Enthusiast? – random Oct 3 '09 at 1:25

We have been officially dewooted.

I love the woot! guys (they are very cool, and we plan to have them on a future podcast) but man was I sick of that particular promotion.

This may be the single most authoritative answer I've ever seen on any of the SO sites. – Bill the Lizard Oct 3 '09 at 3:06
