Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

It'd be nice to be able to mark favorites from the list of questions rather than having to go into each question.

So from the snippet alone you can tell if you want to favourite a question? – random Oct 31 '09 at 7:55
I don't see the harm in marking them as favourites & then reviewing at a later date. – OMG Ponies Oct 31 '09 at 16:49
I don't think either of the "duplicates" are in fact duplicates of this request... – Jeff Atwood Nov 1 '09 at 19:59

We don't do this for the same reason we don't allow voting from the question page; it's a conscious decision.

You have to click through to vote, because we don't believe you can cast an informed vote without viewing the full question and answer.

Similar rules would apply for favoriting.

ha ha. Then why provide the favorites ability & tab, much less associate badges with the functionality... – OMG Ponies Oct 31 '09 at 23:41
@rexem: Honestly, I do not know. – Ladybug Killer Nov 1 '09 at 20:40
