Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

You can comment a statement in T-SQL (for SQL Server) using --

StackOverflow does not show this as a comment.

--Comment goes here and code follows

The C# style comment shows up properly.

/*Comment goes here and code follows*/
//Comment goes here and code follows

I think the SQL Server style should be supported as well.

Take it up with Google, man: This functionality is developed out-of-house. – JSONBog Nov 17 '09 at 15:55
VB comments (start with ') don't work either. I usually do this: ''// to trick the highlighter – Michael Haren Nov 17 '09 at 16:12
How does one accept a comment as an answer?!?!?! – Raj More Nov 20 '09 at 13:13
