What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 134 Stack Exchange communities.

I deleted a question over on stack overflow because I thought I had made a really stupid mistake then realized that I hadn't. When I got back to the question, it was no longer "valid" and couldn't push the undelete button. I looked at this post:

How do I find questions or answers that I've deleted?

But doesn't seem like anybody ever figured out a proper way to do it there other than having a moderator undelete it. Which is what I'm asking for now. If there is a better way to contact a moderator, please point in that direction for the future. Thanks.

If you need a question number I think can dig it out of my browser history.

I believe moderators can view your deleted questions in your profile. And any 10k+ rep user can vote to undelete - if we can find the question. –  mmyers Nov 18 '09 at 18:43

It needs 2 more votes to undelete, as of this comment. –  GManNickG Nov 18 '09 at 19:07

1 More vote to undelete. I do hope you can clean it up a little. Those error messages look pretty daunting. –  Super Long Names are Hilarious Nov 18 '09 at 19:23

Done. You're welcome :) –  Stephan202 Nov 18 '09 at 19:37

Thanks all! What do I do with this meta question now? Can it just get closed? Or should I delete it? –  Morinar Nov 18 '09 at 19:39

Probably post an answer saying, "Thanks, guys, it's open." and accept it. –  GManNickG Nov 18 '09 at 19:41

How about I write up some stuff as an answer and you accept that instead? I believe this would be best way for us to handle this situation. –  foraidt Nov 18 '09 at 20:05

Doesn't matter to me. I'll accept any answer on this question just so it shows that it's taken care of. On a side note, my original SO question was me doing something stupid... just not quite what I though it was :-p –  Morinar Nov 18 '09 at 21:18
