Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I can access SO with different XP accounts, but I cannot access it with the default account. My browser shows nothing. How can I resolve this issue?

What browser? Do you accept cookies? – random Dec 10 '09 at 14:40
Shows nothing? The void? Screenshots? Any? Circles? Awesome ones, not the lame ones... – Ladybug Killer Dec 10 '09 at 15:07
Man, asked 47 minutes ago and nobody has pulled out the old chestnut yet? Fine, I'll do it: stop using Windows XP. – Hilarious Comedy Pesto Dec 10 '09 at 15:26

@random: I will accept cookies. What kind are you making for us? – Troggy Dec 11 '09 at 2:37
These cookies come from the easy-bake Opera oven. Enjoy your afternoon delight. – random Dec 11 '09 at 9:22
What do you see if you look at the page source? Also, have you tried emptying you browser cache completely? – Marc Gravell Jan 9 '10 at 8:10

Define "could not access"? My first guess would be that your proxy server (wininet) is not configured (if needed), or that your browser's settings (on that account) has the site filtered or crippled (cookies, script, etc).
