Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Using Google Chrome (3.0.195.38) and IE 7 (7.0.5730.11IC)

If I click on the vote number (not up, not down)

It turns into this

and then this

In IE, the 5 and 0 are seperated by more space.

Edit: ok ignore the "2" in the second picture, I just took a screenshot of the wrong vote. It does indeed stay as a "5".

Ah, nice, looked like a bug. Would be nice to see +5 -0, so we could understand what was going on. – Allen Jan 11 '10 at 15:36

Look at your tooltips, Allen. – Arjan Jan 11 '10 at 15:58

I see that (now), but + and - would not be incorrect and it would make the tool tip obsolete. – Allen Jan 11 '10 at 19:48

I like the idea of adding + and -. – Ether Jan 11 '10 at 20:38

well, it wouldnt completely make the tool tip obsolete, but it'd be easier to see whats going on – Allen Jan 11 '10 at 20:56
