This question came from our site for computer enthusiasts and power users.

What exactly is that gadget supposed to do ? Why not use GReader (RSS) ? – Rook Jan 18 '10 at 2:24
What are SO alerts anyway? – random Jan 18 '10 at 5:43
Voted to close as blatantly localized. – alex Jan 18 '10 at 8:34
Find out more about Gmail gadgets:… I am sorry but I thought everyone is familiar with it. – Shimmy Jan 18 '10 at 10:13
So you want something that plays with the upcoming API? – random Jan 18 '10 at 11:50
Sir: it's not upcoming. it's PRESENT! I thought maybe someone has created a gadget for SO and is willing to share the public. That's all. And what's SO alerts? New responses, reputations, questions etc. etc. – Shimmy Jan 18 '10 at 20:26
@Shimmy I've just released new v1.0.16 version of Gmail/iGoogle Gadget for Stack Exchange. This handy gadget can be added to Gmail or iGoogle and displays your current reputation, badges on selected Stack Exchange sites and notifies you on reputation's changes and comments that are directed to you. Check it out, maybe it's something that you are looking for. – Vladislav Tserman Sep 2 '10 at 11:09

No, there is no Gmail gadget for Stack Overflow, yet.

Not for alerts, not for questions. Net even for ponies.

May be you could ask for an RSS feed to{your user number} in a [feature-request]?

We need the option to select a comment as answer, so that the commenter gets some rep. – abel Oct 7 '10 at 11:27
If you copy the answer from somebody else, you could change the answer to CW. – Toon Krijthe Oct 7 '10 at 11:39
@abel +1, you're right. I promise if the commentor will post answer will mark him as answer and delete this one. I marked it just for the convenience of users. – Shimmy Oct 7 '10 at 19:25
not a personal accusation. @Gamecat has a good idea – abel Oct 8 '10 at 9:03
@Gamecat, in fact, I don't think this question and answer should be a CW, no matter that it's related to me. – Shimmy Oct 18 '10 at 1:35
