Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

As the title says.

EDIT: or at least, there should be an option to turn this notification on or off.

+1 - I love how google doesn't send you the mails you send to a group you belong to – juan Jan 20 '10 at 12:36
@Juan: you will be surprised that many people love to receive their own emails in their inbox on top of the sent folder. :p – o.k.w Jan 20 '10 at 12:53
Those people are just crazy – juan Jan 20 '10 at 12:57
fyi- this is a dup of… – Kip Mar 2 '10 at 15:01

If these feature is implemented, there will be some who complain 'why no email after they answer their own qn'. And they ask for a new option 'email me even if it is from me to me'. Well, I wouldn't want to continue what comes next....
