Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Stack Overflow question feeds by default don't provide updates for comments. What's the solution to this?

You can use the experimental timeline feature. It's not linked anywhere yet, so you have to type the URL yourself:[question number]/timeline

e.g. for this one. It does include comments. But remember that it's experimental; in particular, there's no corresponding RSS feed (yet?).

Can we use yahoo pipes to accomplish this task. I mean making a custom RSS – Abhijeet Rastogi Jan 23 '10 at 15:24
Isn't pipes just an aggregator? If so, you'd still need an original RSS feed that includes comments. – balpha Jan 23 '10 at 15:39
Just use Google Reader, you can subscribe to any page now, so subscribe to timeline. – pihentagy Jan 26 '10 at 9:28
but google reader doesnt prompt me the instant i get a comment – Abhijeet Rastogi Jan 26 '10 at 12:33
@Michael Haren: I don't think that's true. Do you have an example? I have never noticed a comment that was hidden in the timeline view. – balpha Feb 22 '10 at 19:22
@balpha--you're right, my bad – Michael Haren Feb 22 '10 at 19:44
