What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 128 Stack Exchange communities.

Just wanted to announce that the latest version of my Stack Overflow Reputation extension for Google Chrome is available in Google's extension repository.

The extension now supports showing reputation from Stack Overflow, Super User, Server Fault and Meta (following requests from users). It also utilizes jQuery 1.4.1 for better performance.

To use it, you need Google Chrome version 4 (or Dev build 5), and a profile on one of the Stack Overflow sites (of course :)).

Get it by searching the extensions repository for 'Stack Overflow' or browsing directly to http://tinyurl.com/SOExtension.

Comments and requests are welcome.

To clarify, you don't need a dev build - the stable 4 release works fine. –  Michael Petrotta Jan 31 '10 at 21:30

Thanks Michael - fixed. –  Traveling Tech Guy Jan 31 '10 at 21:32

Update: version 1.2.1 now includes instructions on where to find your Profile ID. Thanks Sasha! –  Traveling Tech Guy Feb 1 '10 at 6:20

Options page link seems to be broken. –  Brad Gilbert Feb 1 '10 at 17:05

Brad, could you tell me what you are experiencing? Works well for me. Is it the options link in the extension itself, or the options button in the Extensions management page? –  Traveling Tech Guy Feb 2 '10 at 8:02

Works wonderfully! One minor request - the moms4moms site doesn't have a favicon (at least at the moment - I thought it had one at some point), so a broken image shows up. Can you detect and display a blank icon if there's none from the site? –  ceejayoz Feb 19 '10 at 13:50

The link no longer works: tinyurl.com/SOExtension. –  Zach L May 15 '13 at 21:29

Sadly, I decommissioned it, as I haven't tested it in a long while, and the SO API changed, so I'm sure it could use a refresh. I could probably retool it, if anyone would be interested... –  Traveling Tech Guy May 16 '13 at 4:52

"I'm Jon Skeet, and I approve this extension."

(In all seriousness, I have it installed.)

Perhaps an option to poll periodically and pop up a little box when the rep changed would be nice...

You'd get sick of the popups appearing every 15 seconds..... –  David Heffernan Jan 25 '11 at 19:56
