Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Possible Duplicates:
Rep Repo Man is mocking us!
The Stack Overflow Conspiracy - don’t tell Jeff I’m on to him.

I was looking at my reputation report (nice feature by the way!).

It appears to be fairly clear and obvious, especially with the FAQ/legend kindly provided by Jeff.

However, I am somewhat unclear about a minor detail. The last line of my report shows:

** total rep 9434 :)

Now I'm sitting there trying to imagine what ":)" means - somehow I suspect that the obvious explanation (it's a smiley face because Jeff just felt like putting it there) is wrong.

Am I just being paranoid or overthinking it?

It's the SO team taunting you and your new lower rep levels. – Ether Mar 24 '10 at 15:22
