Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

So I noticed my accepted answer rate went to 79% on SO. I went to mark answers on a couple of ancient questions that never got answered properly.

However, for one of these I cannot mark an answer.

The question in question is Using canvas to grab pixel data from page

What does one do when this happens?

You set a 150 point bounty in the past that has now lapsed.

The question failed to get any new answers with +2 which would have been eligible for half the bounty on offer under auto-accept conditions.

Since you also did not check the mark before the close of the bounty period, you can now no longer check any answer as accepted in future.

Looks like the bounty was set on 2010-02-03 – random Mar 26 '10 at 5:39

Ah yes indeed, I forgot about the bounty. So its not possible to accept even after the bounty expires? Interesting – Darko Z Mar 26 '10 at 5:43

@Darko: Only after the bounty expires, it's not possible to accept. – fretje Mar 26 '10 at 8:46
