Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I propose that a thread be made for volunteers to design Alex Martelli a free website for living at SO for so long. He provides in-depth answers for all questions related to Python, and other various technologies. He's a major expert and contributor to the community but his website is terrible and he deserves better :)

It's you from a sock puppet account isn't it? – juan Apr 5 '10 at 18:14
lol, nah. In fact, my fear is that he doesn't want a new website. He works for Google, so you'd think somewhere along the way he'd have gotten an offer he couldn't refuse. – orokusaki Apr 5 '10 at 18:24
Which was yesterday, by the way. – Marc Gravell May 5 '10 at 12:33

I donno... I find his web site fairly OK. No stupid flash. No ads. Few distracting visual elements. Useful content. Easy and clear navigation. Even internationalized.

Jon Skeet didn't.

Pretty soon, we'll owe him two. – Jon Seigel Apr 5 '10 at 18:16
Nor Marc Gravell, cletus, or tvanfosson. – mmyers Apr 5 '10 at 18:31
How about his own TLD when he reaches 500k? www.jon.skeet – balpha Apr 5 '10 at 18:36
@balpha: great idea ;-) it would have to be a private tld, otherwise you'd have knock-off .skeet sites cramming advertising down your throat. – Andy E Apr 5 '10 at 23:51
aww.skeet.skeet.skeet – snicker Apr 6 '10 at 15:16
@snicker, pointless, but epic comment :) +1 – orokusaki May 22 '10 at 0:31
