Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to the Users page on
  2. Type a name into the input box with lots of results ("anonymous", any firstname)
  3. Try to navigate to the next page.

Expected behaviour

The second page of the users list is displayed with all users named "anonymous".

The inputbox is empty and the second page of all users is displayed.

Additional information

Fx 3.0.11, JavaScript enabled, all Addons disabled.

I think it's a bug or a missing feature ;-)

Clicking "name" tab gives strange user order. And it's definitely not alphabetical name order. – Alexander Prokofyev Jun 30 '09 at 6:25
it is, but lots of users have no Display Name set. – Jeff Atwood Jun 30 '09 at 6:53
