Clicking envelope beside username shows fewer recent activities than “today” button

I believe it would be useful for the "Recent Activity" screen (i.e. click on the envelope) to default to showing a time frame, rather than nothing.

EDIT { I'm specifically referring to the "Top 5 Posts" section }

It may be that too much coffee has frazzled my memory, but I'm sure it used to default to 'today'

This question has been asked before and already has an answer. If those answers do not fully address your question, please ask a new question.

I created a feedfier for the user's recent activity page (the envelope button): http://code.google.com/p/authfeed/

Mine says "Showing 2009-07-13 to 2009-07-13 ; current time is 2009-07-13 14:33:57 UTC". Which is to say, "today".

Edit: sounds like this could be a dup of this one: Bug: clicking envelope beside username shows fewer recent activities than “today” button

Or it could be a misunderstanding of this behavior: Make recent activity “today” etc. buttons based on user’s time zone

Looks like a dupe of meta.stackexchange.com/questions/1459/… - my bad (but I have voted to close as a dupe of it :) – Rowland Shaw Jul 14 '09 at 16:19

My screen doesn't show "nothing." Maybe you have no activity to report?

Sorry, just added clarification, it's the "Top 5 Posts" bit that doesn't bring anything back without explicitly clicking on "Today" – Rowland Shaw Jul 13 '09 at 12:34

I don't have to click "Today." – Sampson Jul 13 '09 at 12:45
