How many gigabytes is the StackOverflow database file (SQLServer I'm guessing?)

Correct; it is SQL Server. – SLaks Apr 21 '10 at 15:42
too localized? Oops, did my comment make the database grow again? – Jørn Schou-Rode Apr 21 '10 at 15:56
Yes, too localized since the answer is always changing. What if we find out the average amount of space per question? Then the size can be estimated in the future (at least short-term). – Jon Seigel Apr 21 '10 at 15:59
It depends on how you measure. The XMLs have a size, and the binary database files have another. – perbert Apr 21 '10 at 16:03

If you count the whole trilogy, you are not too off the mark. – perbert Apr 21 '10 at 15:55
@jjnguy: too subtle? – perbert Apr 21 '10 at 16:02
