Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Today a strange thing happened. I wrote an answer and it was considered good enough to be accepted. Way too good. Because its acceptance gave me +30 rep!

Here's an excerpt from audit page:

 1   2689720 (15)

 2   2691220 (10)

Is it a bug, a small reward for my commitment, or I'm just the Chosen One?

Yeah, fixed :-(. By the way, I'm curious, what was it? – Pavel Shved Apr 22 '10 at 19:58

(by "what was it?" I don't mean "how can I do it again, but without notifying anyone this time?") – Pavel Shved Apr 22 '10 at 20:04

What was the bug? – SLaks Apr 23 '10 at 1:12

It had to do with two requests happening at the same instant; our locks didn't catch them and two votes were submitted. – Jarrod Dixon Apr 23 '10 at 2:32

@Jarrod - still busted: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/47964/… – Marc Gravell Apr 27 '10 at 7:37
