Is there any desktop notifier for stackoverflow.com?

I'd like it to notify in the system tray when questions of my interest are posted, answers and comments to my questions are given, etc.

You can find a list of desktop apps by searching on Stack Apps:

Check also the notifier tag.

Which one works best? I tried StackApplet and my experience is bad. It need 2-3 times authorization every day. –  Gaurav Agarwal Dec 16 '12 at 17:08

I've designed an app for this. It will show you live desktop alerts for new questions. It's made with VB.NET for Windows. You can find it on stackapps.

Note: I am the developer of this product

Any RSS reader/ notifier should do. I use yarssr on Gnome and it works pretty well.

If you use Google Chrome, there is an excellent extension that keeps you updated on changes to your profile.

and what extension might that be? –  Robbie Mar 13 '12 at 18:18
Sorry that was a bit remiss of me. The plugin is no longer supported and I forget it's name now. Shame, I found it very useful. –  kim3er Mar 14 '12 at 2:10
