Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I've flagged at least 2 posts to be moved to SF on SO today. but I haven't received a badge for flagging. Why not?

UPDATE: I flagged them 'requires moderator attention' and left a message that they should be moved to SF

AFAIK that isn't a "flag" (meaning: spam, offensive, etc) - it is a close vote...? – Marc Gravell Apr 26 '10 at 7:57

@Marc updated to reflect what I did. – xenoterracide Apr 26 '10 at 8:04

You've already got that badge. see http://serverfault.com/badges/8/citizen-patrol and your profile at serverfault. And that badge cannot get multiple times.

I just got on SF yes... but I think that's for the one I just marked as spam. not the ones I marked to be moved to SF. shouldn't the ones I marked to be moved give me the badge on SO? – xenoterracide Apr 26 '10 at 8:03

flagging as moderation attention cannot get a badge, and that badge is only one time award. – YOU Apr 26 '10 at 8:04

oic. that's unfortunate but does explain it. – xenoterracide Apr 26 '10 at 8:29
