Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Can we stop doing this? It doesn't add anything other than clutter.

I suppose if you really hate them that much you could always just flag them as noise... – James McNellis May 5 '10 at 1:50
I've occasionally wondered if I'm the only one who ever flags comments as noise. I've never seen a comment be deleted from such a flag. – Ether May 5 '10 at 2:24
@Ether isn't that self-fulfilling? You'd never see a deleted comment, therefore.... – Tom Ritter May 5 '10 at 3:19
I was going to ask this question...but... – IAbstract May 5 '10 at 3:41
@Tom: I was thinking that I would see the comment disappear if I was the final flagger. Perhaps not. – Ether May 5 '10 at 4:02
@Ether: I have seen comments disappear after I flag them, but only a handful of times over the past 6 months or so. – Gnome May 5 '10 at 5:59
I don't care since it's out of a mood and "n new answers have been posted" – stacker May 18 '10 at 15:22

I wanted to add a clever comment, but Bill beat me to it! – Kobi May 5 '10 at 9:34

Flag it as noise, if you feel strongly enough about it.

If enough people feel the same way, they'll get deleted.
