Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Is it possible to confirm someone as a user of Stack Overflow with a certain rep level if they authenticate with your site using OpenID?

Bob logs into my site with his OpenID.

I then query Stack Overflow to get some info on using and not his Stack Overflow user id (as I don't know this, and can't prove its his if he supplies it).

However, you can confirm their Stack Overflow user Id by having them authenticate with the OAuth flow of the API and then calling the /me method.
