Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Example:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2796408/

The comment appears as:

"possible duplicate of Parsing unsupported date formats in via Cocoa’s NSDate"

(duplicated question was http://stackoverflow.com/questions/399527/)

Ok, I forgot that comments HTML Encode later in the pipeline.

I removed the call to HtmlUtilities.EncodeFancy(title) on that..

Thanks for the quick fix. – Nicholas Riley May 10 '10 at 15:09

Hmm, reminds me of Making Wrong Code Look Wrong. Maybe you should use Hungarian notation. – mmyers May 12 '10 at 17:03

Backticks in titles are rendered as code. Is that expected behaviour? (This only happens in auto-comments; not in auto titles for bare trilogy URLs in normal posts.) – Arjan Mar 31 '11 at 10:58

The same problem (?) for the auto-inserted "Possible duplicates" fragment. – Arjan Mar 31 '11 at 11:08
