Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I just came across this question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1257964 and a handful of others and am wondering

How did this happen? and ... what is with the long detailed answer?

Lance Roberts just rolled back the question to the previous edit while I was trying to roll it back. :) Needless to say, I concur with his decision. – Robert Harvey May 24 '10 at 22:30

My guess is that he accidentally deleted it when trying to change tags. I just rolled it back.

I fixed 2 of the others, they were posted in html, so I just backquoted them, now they show.

Nice work on those other questions too. Looks like the Markup editor was just sanitizing input. – Robert Harvey May 24 '10 at 22:34
