Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

It has happened a number of times that I accidentally remove an interesting tag. Seems I'm not the only one. I add the tag again, but it is now in a new position, and this is teasing.

Could a javascript confirmation (confirm(..)) be added on the remove button?

I took the liberty of applying this to ignored tags as well -- if you don't think that's appropriate, feel free to edit. – Jon Seigel May 25 '10 at 16:03

I want this feature too. Add the program language "C" as your tag, and there's a bigger chance that you remove the tag than list the posts each time you click it... – Lundin Sep 29 '11 at 13:09

This continues to annoy me. I don't know how many times I have removed a favorite while simply trying to view them. I have clicked related and linked questions, cannot see where this has been otherwise addressed. – Anthony Pegram Apr 10 '12 at 17:59
