Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

The only vote I see is a 'great off-topic' vote, but my profile shows a red box.

Are you sure you lost rep? I've tried my hand at a few off-topic questions and they all show red boxes, but they actually add reputation. It's just a weird colouring scheme... – Aarobot Jun 5 '10 at 13:36

Oh, hmm. Sure enough. No - sign. OK, fooled me. – Rosinante Jun 5 '10 at 14:04

Those boxes should have been changed to blue. This has been fixed. – David Fullerton Jun 5 '10 at 17:36

@David sorry, but I'm still seeing red boxes for off-topic votes – Tobias Kienzler Jun 17 '10 at 8:19

@Tobias Fixed now. We had fixed it on the user profile page but missed the recent activity page – David Fullerton Jun 21 '10 at 14:53

I also find the green/red for on-/off-topic votes confusing.

But it looks like some of it (on the proposal page) has changed with the new voting (on-topic is now green, off-topic is blue, and bad is red), which is weird that green isn't the opposite of red.

Ah, I see you're talking about the profile page only. I've not gotten any off-topic votes since the reset. – Gnome Jun 5 '10 at 14:31
