What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 130 Stack Exchange communities.

I use the FastestChrome Chrome extension on Chromium 5, which automatically loads the next page of content inline. However, as soon as it does so, A bar appears at the top of the page, saying :

"Stack Overflow works best with JavaScript enabled"

Why would that be, and how do I get rid of it?

I had the same issue and was under the impression that FastestChrome was a plugin installed by default on Chrome. After looking into it, it is created by fastestfox.com, so it's not. The reason I got confused was because I logged into chrome on a computer that had this plugin installed, and that automatically associated it with my account. This means that this plugin, among others (like Google Quick Scroll), installs automatically on every computer I sign into Chrome. I figured someone else could be as oblivious as me about this. –  Aske B. Oct 1 '12 at 9:08

1 Answer 1

How is this our bug? I'd ask the developer of the extension..

Hmm, ok. I didn't think tagging the question 'bug' implied the bug was on stackoverflow's part. It is obviously something in the extension that triggers this behaviour, or maybe some interaction between SO and the extension. –  jfoucher Jun 14 '10 at 7:49
