Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

You see these tag views on quite a few blogs and I'm curious what SO used in their recent tags implementation...

I'm thinking more along the lines of the jQuery tool used or however else it was presented...

Looks like it renders as straight text, divs, etc. with styles set on all of the different words. A jQuery plugin can facilitate this for you...

So thats what you meant... – Ian Elliott Jul 29 '09 at 1:33

*Note* Please don't upvote this and screw up the bounty system.

Fairies and unicorns collect the tags from all of the posts. Then they add up occurrences of the words and make them bigger if there are alot.

After they are done, they take hand-fulls of the words and toss them at the web page.

Sorry. I've never answered a bounty question... – jjnguy Jul 22 '09 at 21:47
I'd recommend changing it to "collect the tags from all of the posts"... Also, the -1 came from someone else... I know this is CW and you probably didn't care, but just to make sure.... – RSolberg Jul 22 '09 at 21:52
