What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 130 Stack Exchange communities.

About 5 hours ago, I had posted "Application Express 4.0" questions pertaining to how I downloaded the free product from OTN, but discovered the install to be confusing/complicated, asking whether I could eval the product without being connected to internet, how confusing and frustrating it is to deal with a sea of over 20 million names for the different software products on the market, etc.

SOMEONE WENT INTO MY ACCOUNT AND TOTALLY DELETED THIS POSTING. IF THIS IS POSSIBLE, THEN I SUSPECT THAT PEOPLE CAN HACK INTO MY ACCOUNT AND I'M GOING TO REPORT THIS AS AN UNSAFE WEBSITE AND CANCEL OUT OF S.O.

Frank: nobody has logged into your account. Your question was closed as not a real question then later removed by the data cleaner community, probably because your question was flagged as spam. SO is a collaborative site, you must understand that when you post questions/answers you accept the terms of service of this site (including the fact that your posts may be edited). –  Vincent Malgrat Jul 9 '10 at 12:12

Also, here is not the best place to start a discussion about SO. There is a sister site especially designed for that: feedback always welcome. You will find more information there and your question may also have been answered there already. –  Vincent Malgrat Jul 9 '10 at 12:22

Your first paragraph gives a flavour of the tone of the original question. Some people bothered to respond to you but you said that you had already deleted APEX from your system. So I expect somebody flagged your "question" for Moderator Attention and the Mods zapped it. The same may happen to this "question", before or after it gets switched across to Meta-SO. –  APC Jul 9 '10 at 12:39
