Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I suppose that questions, that attract many unique users from external search engines can be valued by additional points/badges. For example there may be a badge for the question that attracted more hits from search engines then other questions during one day.

At what point do we just rename the site BadgeOverflow? – Hilarious Comedy Pesto Jul 15 '09 at 15:36

Ick, no.

That's just begging to gamed. We don't want people playing "SEO for questions" with weird irrelevant keywords etc on StackOverflow, IMO.

Agreed. We don't need this. – GEOCHET Jul 15 '09 at 14:33
