Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I wonder whether the proposals are hobbies of users from the SE network.

It's a honest question, are there social networks involved? – stacker Jul 27 '10 at 19:43

I would imagine that right now it is mostly SO users. However, as SE sites grow they will funnel other users into Area 51.

Agreed. I know there are users on Area51 from outside the SE network (I have recruited some of them). Proposers though? Not sure yet and I'm too lazy to cross-index user lists. – squillman Jul 27 '10 at 19:45
